Garry Jones (as you
can probably tell from his name) originally comes from Wales but now he lives
and works in the Midlands. His ceramic work is full of humour and fun, using
words and phrases to create what he calls "three dimensional cartoon
figures" which tend to make you smile.
His clay creatures, mostly of domestic animals
are individually made and then fired using the Raku process
making every piece unique. Considering the amount of time, skill and effort
required to make these items they are very reasonably priced and as you can see
they have been very popular here at The Teesdale Gallery.
