18th December 2007- Souther Fell.
Poor weather conditions and studio days meant that I have not been on the fells for a couple of weeks so I thought that I deserved a half day out on one of the nearer Northern Fells. The weather was dry and cold as it had been for the previous week. In gathering references for my "Wainwright" project the route was a circuit of the fell before heading over the summit ridge in sunshine.

Mungrisdale and The Mill Inn from the descent of Souther Fell. There is no direct route through the field now so a diversion has to be made.
