20th May 2009 Iron Crag and
Roughten Gill
There are walks which I plan which don't
include to the top of a major fell. This is one of those, a route which did get
us to the top of Iron Crag and then an interesting descent alongside the falls
of Roughten Gill near High Pike.

The regular cuts on the
peat were made to supply fuel to the smelt mill lower in the valley.
