23rd- 28th September 2007. The Glen Affric area.

Camping at Cannich, the idea was to use this as a base to explore the three glens of Glen Affric, Glen Cannich and Glen Strathfarrar. The forecast was pretty reasonable for the week but this was Scotland in the Autumn!

23rd September

The day we arrived gave us an afternoon to take on the Corbett of Sgorr na Diollaid, a simple there and back hill which would give us a preview of the area.

Rain was passing through the Glen, we were hoping that this wasnt an insight into the weather for the next few days.

On the summit of Sgorr na Diollaid. Very windy but a great viewpoint, here looking into Glen Strathfarrar.

The descent off the hill was across pathless boggy land.

Glen Cannich. Even though this was just a short late afternoon walk, it gave up a great taster for the area we were going to explore over the next few days.
