Then at the car park at Bowness Knott, Ennerdale we were treated to another wildlife encounter.

This footbridge was one of my targets for the walk, in AW's day this was just a single plank of wood.

Forestry work.

To get another reference I have to follow the lake shore to this point, the site of the Angler's Hotel. This was the view that the hotel guests would have seen.

Great Borne from Ennerdale. After this it was a case of returnng home. Hardly and exciting day out but I did mamage to obtain over a dozen references for the project.
