11th November 2009 Great Mell Fell

Another visit to this fell which lies close to Penrith and makes it easy for me to access at this time. Once again the low Autumn morning mists tempted me to capture the weather.

Turning off the A66 I couldn't resist this shot of the Fell backlit by the early sun. Troutbeck Inn on the left.

Blencathra in the other direction.

The National Trust sign at the start of the walk.

Woodland lane.

Mist and sheep.

Little Mell Fell across the valley.

Gowbarrow Fell.

and Clough Head to the west.

Ullswater is under the mist.

Blencathra and the summit cairn.

In the dewy grass.

Scots Pine and the Dodds.

Little Mell Fell from my descent path.

Sun through Oak leaves.

Zeta runs off some energy before we head back to Rheged after our morning walk.
