Andy Beck - On Location

Route details and photographs of areas where Andy has been walking, sketching and gathering references for future work.

13th March 2009. Hallin Fell

Due to the abysmal weather conditions today, my main plans were cancelled so I was only able to get in a short walk at the later part of the day. I ventured into Martindale and parked up at St.Peter's Church where a quick stroll meant that Hallin Fell could easily be climbed.

Howe Grain Beck and Steel Knotts.

After parking up we took the pleasant path up the slopes of the fell. here looking back into Martindale with The Nab in the distance.

From higher up there is a splendid view of Beda Fell and Boardale.

The Fairfield range across Ullswater.

The imposing summit cairn on Hallin Fell with the lower reach of Ullswater behind.

It may not have been a long walk but these two still enjoy being out on the fell.
