27th August 2009. BBC Antiques Roadshow.

I took a short time off from my Wainwrights project to go along to the Bowes Museum to have a look at the filming of a new edition of the popular BBC programme, The Antiques Roadshow. A fine day in the setting of this great building and within walking distance of the gallery.

The roadshow is here.

In the grounds of The Bowes Museum.

A great turnout of onlookers.

Fun during filming.

Expert Paul Atterbury checks out a pot.

An appropriate setting.

David Battie.

Eric Knowles.

Thinking of something nice to say.

Patient queuing.

It looks like good news.

The filming of two large canvases, not my cup of tea but probably worth a fortune.

And an old book gets the TV treatment.

It was good to see the programme being made just on our doorstep. Its due to be screened over the winter.
