Snout
A cold but bright winters day beckoned
as I headed up to Upper Teesdale to walk over to Cauldron Snout.

Langdon Beck, Teesdale. I will be walking in the valley in the far

markers to prevent the Black grouse from flying into the wires.
Approaching Widdy Bank Farm.
Widdy Bank Farm, the property is used as a base for a conservation team.
Hard Galloway cattle are used in part of the
conservation project.
Cronkley Fell crags.
The River Tees. This footpath is part of the Pennine
Way.
The hard winter has taken it's toll on some of the wildlife. This was only
one of the number of Red Grouse I saw.
Pathway laid over the usually boggy sections.
Cauldron Snout sits in the valley to the right, you can
hear it before you see it.
