Scoberry bridge. We had crossed the bridge and now
were heading downstream on the northern bank.

Plenty of birdlife on this section of the river
including Wagtails, Dippers and Common Sandpipers such as this.

Our path followed close to the river bank.

Low Field, a traditional Teesdale farmstead.

A short area of woodland takes us up to the road.

The disadvantage of this route is a short stretch of
road walking but it does give this good view down onto the the river.

Looking across to the scar of Crossthwaite Quarry from
Dent Bank.

After dropping down across a couple of fields we are now
back on the track towards Middleton.

Hude Hope beck joins the Tees near Middleton Bridge.

A last view back to the river.
Shortly we are back in Middleton. With a choice to
tearooms and pubs it is a good place for a post walk refreshment.
