21st July 2008- Whorlton and Wycliffe.

The quiet villages and hamlets of Teesdale are part of the make up of the whole area. Each has its own character and well worth seeking out.

The Bridge is Whorlton's "local".

A riot of colour leads to a cottage door.

Cottage gardens surround the village green.

A vegetable patch right outside the front door.

Whorlton Church.

The famous Whorlton suspension bridge over the Tees.

And the old Toll house.

Looking towards the bridge from further down the river.

The church at the tiny hamlet of Wycliffe interestingly has a flat roof.

Hedgerows filled with Cranesbill and Cow Parsley as I return to Whorlton.
