"To the Rescue".

Meet "Fly", one of the highly trained Search and Rescue dogs who operate on the Fells and Mountains, coming to the aid of lost or injured walkers. I was fortunate to watch Fly at work on a training day last year on a wet afternoon near Grizedale Pike. He and his handler Mike Hadwin are just one of the dedicated volunteer teams who are on stand-by to assist in the search for those in need on the hill. Like the Mountain Rescue Teams they are not government funded but rely purely on the donations from the public to provide this much needed service.

Here's your opportunity to help to raise funds for this great cause.

As a participant in the forthcoming Lakeland 214 Challenge , this years fund-raising event organised by The Wainwright Society raising funds for SARDA (Lakes) and SARDA (England), I have painted this small watercolour of Fly which is now available as a limited edition print, titled "To The Rescue". £10 from the sale of each print will added to the Society's total.

Print information.

The Limited Edition Print is restricted to only 214 copies and has been reproduced  by the high quality Giclee method using light-fast inks. The image is not available in any other form.
