All images are the copyright of the artist. To obtain these references has so far required 2 days of walking: 12/05/08, 6/3/11(click on the dates to see the photos) Grisedale Pike 2593'
From High Moss. 12/5/08 Not a very inspiring profile of a fell to paint but interesting to see the scars from the mine cutting across the lower slopes of the fell.
High Force. 6/3/11 Less water in the beck on this day compared to in AW's drawing. The concrete buildings are now in a bad state of repair.
Main Level. 6/3/11 I was unsure if I had the correct level entrance or not as there are several hereabouts. Confirmation by Ian Tyler from the Keswick Mining Museum confirmed that this was indeed the correct location.
Low Force 6/3/11 This view is from the good path which heads up to Coledale Hause. There was hardly any water coming over the force on this day. Force Crag mine buildings are down to the right of this view.
The East Ridge. 12/5/08 A well used path that reached the summit from this point on Sleet How.
The north east ridge. 6/3/11 A route from Whinlatter Pass which leads direct up to the summit.
The north ridge. 6/3/11
