John Eggerton

John attended Scarborough Hornsey and London Colleges of art in the early sixties. he started Sneaton pottery in 1965 and has remained there ever since. Until 1969 the worked in earthenware, then changed to oxidized stoneware fired in an electric kiln. Most of his work is thrown but he does carry out hand building too. For many years he has used the technique of drawing through glaze when it is first applied to the surface of the pot. he also captures and interprets directly onto the pot the land and seascapes that he sees around him.

Update 24/4/10: new stock from John will be arriving shortly.
