"In less than an hour after leaving
home I can be on the fells in the Lake District. This convenience is
perfect as I always feel inspired when I make the trip along the A66 towards the
high hills. Perhaps if I lived amongst them they would not hold such
excitement." Several times a month Andy makes this West bound route to enjoy
the fells of the Lake District where he can combine his enjoyment of
hill-walking with his painting. "Simple watercolour sketches
are made on location and those are used along with photographs back in the
studio to produce the larger original paintings."
