12th May 2008 A Coledale Round

The second day of a week in the North Western Fells of the Lake District. We based ourselves in Lorton in the campsite of The Wheatsheaf Inn, a convenient location to reach all 29 of these hills.

A long route planned to cover the Coledale Circuit but with Barrow and Outerside included for good measure. We parked in Braithwaite and you can follow the route through the photos.

From Braithwaite we took the path to Barrow Door. Causey Pike ahead.

Looking back to Skiddaw from the route to Barrow door where we headed up to Barrow itself.
