The first route on the third day of a week in the North Western Fells of the Lake District. We based ourselves in Lorton in the campsite of The Wheatsheaf Inn, a convenient location to reach all 29 of these hills.
After yesterdays long day we planned two shorter routes to avoid tiring the dogs too much in the heat of the day. This is the first simple walk to take in Whinlatter. We started at the Forest Park and I then returned to the car at Spout Force as I needed one or two more reference photos from that area.
