Andy Beck - On Location

Route details and photographs of areas where Andy has been walking, sketching and gathering references for future work.

21st June 2006

Making the most of the longest day we set off on this route at about 6pm from Threlkeld. As you can see, we encountered very few people on this pleasant summers evening.

Heading up Doddick Fell. Halls Fell on the left.

Nearing the top of the ridge, Clough Head and the Helvellyn range behind.

The ridge from the top, dramatic but not difficult.

A "Swalie" in the evening sun.

A great evening to be on the summit. About 8pm.

The ridge to the West.

Heading towards our route down, via Roughten Gill.
